Some of the cars are breaking cover. Personally, I really like the Ferrari, McLaren and the Renault. The Toyota looks pretty unchanged (though there are changes) but the others look beautiful. We still have to wait to see how they'll perform.

Orange is the new black.

This Orange makes the Spyker look like the old Bruce McLaren cars from back in the day.

Well, Spyker = all orange, Renault = new orange engine cover, McLaren = chrome and orange. Hell, even Ferrari's red has been getting more and more orange over the years... Ferrari red in the 1950's was actually almost purple... now look at it!

I kinda wish cars would go back to their traditional country of origin based colors. I'm not saying drop sponsorship decals, but make the primary color of the car based on tradition. Otherwise in 5 years well have a field of identical looking orange cars!

Well, If any car deserves to be orange, it's the Spyker. The Dutch put orange on everything.

Yeah, its kind of their national color. I think back in the 1700's or 1800's when the King of Brittan was Dutch, he was from the "House of Orange" nobility.

EDIT: and to fill our brains with even more useless knowledge, a snippet from Wikipedia.

Quote:
Carrots and the House of Orange

Carrots were originally purple, black or red in color and the orange color was brought about by the Dutch. The wild carrot was taken under many countries' horticulural wings to produce a less bitter version, like the one consumed in large volumes today. Orange roots, containing the pigment carotene, first appeared in the 16th century in Holland. This was due to patriotic Dutch growers who bred the vegetable to grow in the colour of the House of Orange. In an attempt to "nationalize" the country's favourite vegetable they began experiments on improving the pale yellow versions. These were crossed with red varieties containing anthocyanin to produce orange-coloured roots. Successive hybridisations intensified the typical "orange" colour of today. By the 1700s Holland was considered the leading country in carrot breeding and today's "modern" orange version is a direct descendendant from the Dutch-bred carrots of that time.

First look at Toro Rosso's STR2. Speed has no contract yet but they say he is still lined up to keep his seat.

Honda's new livery?

Rumor has it this photo was found on the Honda F1 website by accident. The other rumor is that Google will be the main title sponsor, and this livery is to showcase Google Earth.
