Default Holy STI insurance increase!

Those of you with STI's: have you noticed a major premium increase for the next 1/2 year?

Mine doubled for the same coverage - no claims and no tickets! My other cars also increased by 30-40%.......................crap!

Any thoughts............Art?

This must be something recent, my insurance only went up by $30 for 6 months when I got my STi. Or maybe it is a california thing. Which insurance company are you with?

The Hartford. When my renewal came up in January, it only increased by around $40 for 6 months, The big change just happened for my next six month renewal.

Thats a little dramatic of a increase. It could be hartford never actually used a submodel and only listed the car as an impreza...and now found out about the turbo and 300 horses. Not sure though.

My co-worker worked for Hartford before she came to us and she just said that they have 2-3 increases per year that all hit at once on renewal. But don't take that from me since I have no actual facts on why it would have gone up.

That would be the guy that posted right above you, ArthurS. Insurance agent for quite a few of us on the board.

Thanks Art. We may be talking soon. I had Allstate until 2003. They were my insurance company for 13 years. I only switched because this agent does all of our business insurance and got me a great deal on my personal insurance. Unfortunately it is no longer a great deal.

This rate is also with three cars and my home insurance discount. No tickets or claims.

Allstate has been great for me...Now I have the Titan, Sti and trailer, along with my homeowners with Allstate, and my premiums went down for this year.
