Default 2006 STI BBS Wheels and Tires- $800

I just won this set of silver BBS wheels and tires on Ebay, but I was dumb and didn't realize that they wouldn't fit my WRX. So, I will receive the wheels in a few days and I wanted to see if anyone here would want them. If not, I will just put them on Ebay or Craigslist.

The wheels were only driven 800 miles so they are in excellent condition and well worth the money. I will sell them for $800, or best offer.

Wow... if it was closer to autocross season I'd be tempted to try to snag these for my girlfriend's 3. Alas, we're in budget mode trying to save for a house down payment. Good luck with these. If they're here in March though, give me a buzz.

Damn that's really tempting... I know that's a pretty good deal but "how" negotiable are you on the price?

I don't think they will fit your car either unless you did a hub swap.

I would be willing to go down to $700 or $650, if I get really desperate. Also, it depends on how nice the wheels actually are, which I will find out in a few days. Anyone interested is wlcome to come check them out when they arrive. I will let everyone knwo when that is.

All WRX models have an offset of 5x100, but the STI's have an offset of 5x14, or something like that. I found out that only the '04 STI models have wheels compatiable with WRX's.

It's not a problem with the offset, it's the bold circle dimensions. All WRX and the '04 STi are 5x100mm. The '05 and up STi's are 5x114.3mm (which is actually 5x4.5in, the same as EVOs, Mustangs, and a bunch of other cars).

^ I hear that's pretty spendy to do the hub conversion from 5x100 to 5x114. How much did it cost you if you don't mind my asking?

The kit is like $1000 (at least it was when I did the conversion)... plus the cost of new suspension and new brake rotors if you're not able to get your existing suspension converted to the '05+ hub size, and re-drill the rotors at 5x114.3.

I ended up spending way more on the conversion than I was expecting... Tein charged me out the ass for new front uprights for the SuperRace coilovers, plus StopTech brake hats aren't cheap and the GrN style rear rotors are over $200 a pair (but they do come in both 5x100 and 5x114.3 thank god), plus I also had C&C drill out my existing rotors at the new dimensions so I'd have some spares... the fronts came out okay, but the rears didn't fit right.

I just traded my old blown up complete wrx drivetrain for the hubs/brembos, picked up some stock sti struts/springs on craigslist for about what Sperry paid for rotors and bought the front a-arms from some yak back east. I think I got an alright deal.

Oh, by the way did the wheels show up yet???
