Default Weekly Meet! 1/8/04, 7pm, Flowing Tide 2

Whee! Another week, another meet. But this time it looks like some of the Sac fellas are going to try to crash the party!

So, as usual, the rice-fest will congrigate under the shadow of Matt's GIANT WING, thursday at the Flowing Tide 2 (S. Meadows).

For the Sac folks, here's the map:

Once into Reno on I80 East, take 395 South. It's about 5 or 10 minutes, then get off at exit 60: South Meadows Pkwy. Turn left under the freeway. Drive up to Gateway, and make a U Turn. Flowing Tide is in the little shopping center on your right. We usually park next to the big sign along the street side of the parking lot. Look for Matt's giant silver wing.

I've said that all along, it's not like I have the only STi around. Sperry has focused his attack on me for some reason. Hahaha! From now on, I'll insist he makes fun of both of us equally

I dunno... the blue spoiler just doesn't look quite so big somehow. Maybe I'm discracted by the DVD player?

Oh, and you're way more fun to make fun of... "OH NOS!! I hit teh stone!"

Well, I thought that I wouldn't make this meet due to my JIC installation.

However, I just got off the phone w/ the chuckelheads over at JIC. They never bothered to ship my rear coils!! They were supposed to go out 2-day shipping on Monday! The guy told me he never recieved confirmation from ESX that they should ship 'em to me. Even tho he told me Ali talked to him before the holidays to verify the rear strut swap. (I've been calling JIC like 3 times a day every day this week, and this is the 1st time I got thru to someone that could look up the status of my struts... rediculous!)

So anyway, I called ESX and Ali's gonna call JIC and square this up. Hopefully they'll be able to ship 'em overnight so I'll get them tomorrow, but chances are, they go out tomorrow, and I'll get 'em Friday. Nothing like trying to do the install Friday evening, mere ours away from the 6:30am Corral. At least I'll be able to make the meet, if that's the case.

Thank god Ali's such a great guy and willing to keep going the extra mile for me on this deal. Man, I hope someone else get's import rights for JIC coilovers, since Ziel is doing a pretty bad job of handling their customers. Considering I ordered these coilovers in early December, you'd think they'd easily be on the car for a Jan 10 meet.

Hmm, the sac guys are 100+ they're coming. Between the lot of them, it's more than 220 miles!

Plus Justin's trying to make it, and he's like what, 400 miles away!?

You should come up and help me with my strut install and alignment.

Actually I didn't really think this was possible, but I'm burned out on working on cars for the moment... this intake manifold installation on the Mustang has been such a bitch that I need at least a couple of weeks to recover. I got it completely physically re-assembled last night, changed the oil... now it just needs coolant and it should be ready to re-fire. Hopefully nothing leaks from the 10 different gaskets I replaced/installed... *fingers crossed*

Um, "get out of S^2"? Did you start working over there, or are you just hanging out?
