Default Invidia Downpipes

Im looking @ getting a v3 invidia downpipe. Does anyone have anything they would care to share? I still can't decide whether I want a catted or non-catted downpipe.

I have the Invidia V2.5 which does not have the divorced bellmouth. Invidia makes quality stuff, I had no trouble putting it on or with bolts or gaskets or anything. If you don't have a 3" catback, the mating with the donut gasket is pretty hit or miss with leaks. Mine doesn't leak, but I lucked out.

I have the older 2.5 version Invidia DP ( I have the full TBE) It's been on the car with no problems for a long time now. It's a very well made piece. You can't go wrong with Invidia products as far as I'm concerned.

I have the exact same Invidia TBE as MattR. I replaced my Vishnu TBE (which was the reigning top quality exhaust back in '02 when I got it) and the Invidia unit is even nicer, though I still think the Vishnu sounded better due to the larger muffler.

But in general, the Invidia bits are second to none.

And yeah, an Invidia DP will mate up perfectly with a Perrin catback, a few local guys are running that setup.

How do you tell between the different versions? I know the V3 has the splitter in the bellmouth but what about the other versions?

You've got a 2.5, IIRC.

Did changing the D/P to a cat-less (for those who have ran the perrin exhaust) make it untolerably loud?

Haha, that's about as loud as it gets man. Open wastegates are louder... but it's close.

Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.

My preference is for a true divorced wastegate pipe instead of the bellmouth...

<--- I do.

MattR has/had the same setup (I copied him after seeing the sonic boom hit his legs)

Preference are fine, but if I were shopping for a downpipe, I wouldn't pay a lot more for the divorced wastegate, since there really hasn't been a lot of evidence that it makes significantly more power than the simpler bellmouth. The only real advantage of the divorced setup is that it seems to help STI's that have the boost creep issue by increasing the efficiency of the wastegate.

Yep, like RandomAxe said... I have the full catless version. I'll be at the meet Thursday as always if you want to hear it.
