Default Wanted to say Hi!

Hello!
I just wanted to drop a note and find out some more on our local area Subaru’s! I picked up a 00' BE a few month ago and am looking forward to racing with you all this year. I have a few questions on what I can expect from a stock car and what I have to do to get involved in the local SCCA. I do not think I will have my Suspension setup until later this summer, so that is why I have to run stock. =(

I will try and see everyone at Starbucks on Thursday night!

YOu can still come on Sunday! Hopefully my yard detention(re-sodding) will be cancelled! :?
I do hate this weather but hey it's gets me out of helping my neighbors with neighborhood beautification, so I can lounge about and watch cars whiz around a small curvy track!

I also found another person on the COBB forum website that was interested in our group(SCECS?)! BUt i think that person lives like 2+ hours away. So i doubt they can rocket in every Thursday evening, unless they have a really fast SUBARU. cry wink

Welcome!!

You can run Sunday w/o running Saturday. Just show up before 8:30 to register and get inspected.

If you want to join SCCA, there are forms at the AutoX, I just signed up at the last event (Test and Tune). My card showed up last week, so they're pretty quick!

Running stock is a great way to learn your new car's handling. More often than not, the easist and most dramatic way to go faster is to just practice. All the suspension and horsepower in the world is useless if you don't know how to drive fast!

DKNV is our resident SCCA AutoX expert. She helps run the events, and has the most AutoX and track experience AFAIK. (She runs in D-Stock w/ her WRX wagon)

You can also check out the [url=http://www.doink.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=59SCCA AutoX thread[/url] for lots on the Reno Region events and AutoX in general.

Once again Welcome!!

Welcome Solomon -
hope to see you at the track on Sunday! Dress warm.

If for some reason you don't make it out the on Sunday, you are welcome to join us in Winnemucca on the first weekend of May, where we compete against the Idaho region. Let me know if any questions.

Hello all. It was great seeing you at the autocross today. Way too much fun. It's nice to have a local group to chat with.

I was driving the white WRX family wagon, #25.

Hope I can make for tomorrow!

Yes, the wagon drives a lot better. Much more balanced and light.

Yeah awesome job today Theo showing everyone what a little good suspension tweaking can do on a WRX! I'm sure Scott got some decent photos of you leaning in and firing out of the turns today.

It was good seeing those wagons out there taking care of business!! You and DKNV really did well!

I'm gonna have to bum a ride with one of you guys to learn your secrets Of course with my luck it's just a "wagon thing" and the only was I'll be as fast as you guys is to erect a massive "wagon mod" structure to the back of my car!

If only the wagon had the fender flares like the sedan, I woulda gotten one!!
