Find a machine shop Sergio... they'll do a better job and probably not charge too much. Failing that, find an old greasy mechanic that's been working on cars since the day they stopped pulling them with horses. He'll have experience with broken bolts.

where you able to locate a plug for the downpipe? It might be best to have that ready because they will need to remove the downpipe to get the screw out.

ohh and I do have your gaskets here

hey dude we tried . I really dont know what happened other then we needed that plug for your down pipe.

will get it on there, unless you are having it installed when they pull the bolt out witch wouldn't be a bad idea seeing how they will have it off to remove the bolt

Definately props to Chis as well. The pics look great!

So I was looking for a thread on the brake bleed session you guys were talking about Mike. Didn't find anything. I checked the service record and my car just got new brake fluid 2 months ago, but like you said, stock fluid won't cut it for auto-x.

If there's a thread can I get a link please?

Thanks,
Cody

Stock fluid is fine for auto-x as long as there's no air in the lines. Autocross doesn't really put anymore heat into a car than you'd see on the street. Fluid fade (when the fluid gets so hot it boils and the bubbles result in a spongy pedal) doesn't occur until 300 to 400 degrees. I haven't seen an autocross yet that can get brakes that hot for long enough to fade any DOT3 or higher fluid.

However, if the fluid is old, it will absorb water, which can drastically reduce the boiling point of the fluid. That's why you need to change it for autocross. If you've got new (within 6 months old or so) fluid in the car, you won't fade it at an autocross.

Now, if you're planning on running Reno-Fernley... that's another story... get some Motul or ATE and rig up some brake ducts!! I super-heated my stock WRX brakes (w/ Motul fluid, SS lines, and Axxis Ultimate pads) so badly that the pads lost their ability to transfer to the rotors, leaving me w/ brakes that chewed rotors instead of pads. I ruined every pad on the car, all 4 rotors, both front wheel bearings, and almost put the car off into the dirt at turn 5-6. But my fluid never faded.

Jeez Dude. That's crazy.

I don't know anything about Reno-Fernley, but it sounds fun! lol

I'll order some SS lines and pads soon probably. I might as well upgrade the fluid while I'm at it.

Thanks,
Cody
