Default Allow myself to...

...introduce my new shop!

My name is Paul deBecker (aka Oaf on i-club) and we(my partner is Rick aka RC51Rider on i-club) have opened a performance shop in the Roseville area called db tuned.
The shop has the Mustang dyno that was being used at Subaru Specialists in Sacramento.
We have the ability to perform all levels of performance work at our shop: from simple exhaust systems to engine builds.

A Grand Opening party is in the works & I will keep all of you posted on the details.

Thanks

Paul deBecker

I dropped by the shop last week while I was breaking in the new motor on my WRX. They were setting up the dyno.

The place is a bit smaller than the Rancho Cambodia S-Squared (for those that remember that shop). It's gonna be a sweet setup once they get everything all set up... dyno, 2-post lift, and probably more cars than they can handle .

Also Paul's neighbors seem like cool people as well... bunch of other tuners and car guys! The new shop will fit in nicely over there. Plus it's about 20 minutes closer to Reno than the downtown location, and won't require us to sit in that awful "rush-hour" traffic that Sac has from 6am to 8pm M-F (so much for rush-hour around there...).

Congrats Paul and Rick! Good luck w/ the business!

Keep us updated on all the stuff you got going on!

You should know how good a tool forums can be for business, and how hurtful they can be.

Good Luck.

Talked to my business neighbor, who owns D2 Motorsports (a honda/acura shop) and we've set the Grand Opening party for January 28th, which is a Saturday.

It will be from about noon to whenever everyone leaves. Free food & drink, probably hamburgers, sausages, and what not.

I'll be doing $40 dyno pulls, which gets you three pulls & a lovely print out, suitable for framing.

Since this is in conjuction with the Honda boys/girls, once a list is compiled, I'll do Hondas first, then Scoobies, or vice versa.

Thanks

Paul

hmmmm $40 Dyno pulls! That's sweet. I wouldn't mind getting my car on there to see how it's held up after thousands of track and solo miles... Sometimes I fell like my car's getting tired, but I'd love to prove that it's only in my head. If nothing else, It will be fun to go down and support the new shop.

Sweet. I'll be there.

But, if my dyno sheet isn't framable, I'm demanding a refund.

Nah Matt, that's just the synaptic connection in your head that slows with age.

Is this all just some bait so RC51 can have all his work buddies get their fix it ticket quota for the year?

The "Is my car getting slower?" phenomenon is quite common. It comes from taking a fast car, making it faster, and then driving the piss out of it on several occasions. You're just getting used to it.

Nick, if your brain slows with age, then our cars would start feeling faster. There's good evidence that's the case... look at old dudes behind the wheels of their Cadilliacs! (Also note that you lift down the front straight at RFR, you old fart! )

Yeah, but IGT pays the bills *today* not 10 years from now once my business succeeds. Besides, have you seen my ability to manage money? There's no way I could run a business... at least not a financially successful one!
