Default Epic forum fail thread

Oh you know how these things go. Some does something stupid. Other forum members point it out. Everyone starts linking it all around the web. Someone links it here. Someone else says "I saw that on NASIOC OT 3 weeks ago" then we all a little bit.

Guy's gixxer is running bad. Dumps two bottles of NOS energy drink into his gas tank thinking it was the NOS fuel additive and/or injector cleaner or something. Someone figures it out on page 2. Its now on page 81.

http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=226570

EDIT: Haha, looks like NOS Energy Drinks make a PSA... well, maybe it wasn't them.

You know we could make this the official collection of EPIC FAIL threads, everybody knows a few of them.

The kid who filled his WRX with 75W90 oil...for motor oil.
http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/su...gent-help.html

The kid with the Audi who tried pouring sand into the motor of "polish" the heads
http://audiforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80267

The guy who made the "Coldest Air Intake", by which he cut a section of the intake piping and put in a container for ice...long story short he hydrolocked his engine.

I had to google it, and apparently the original forum post is down, but the guy who came up with Direct Exhaust Injection deserves to be here too.

so call me stupid...but I really do not understand what the hell that guy on the nissan forum is talking about. It makes absolutely no sense... I know this is the Epic Fail thred, but that guy completely failed at explaining what he was trying to accomplish.

He is trying to use an electric centrifugal fan as a turbo.

The post I linked to tells why that is silly in the first place. You need a fan the size and weight of a decent 2 cylinder engine to move enough air.

And worst is he put the fan on backwards so it draws air out of the engine, not forcing it in.

Not epic, but still funny. I was reading a vw forum (my gf needs a new clutch, if anyone could link a walkthru for a 2000 jetta, that would be cool ) and some guy said his buddy's STi had meth injection that went through the hoodscoop and into the blowoff valve...
