the v2 has some stuff like 0-60 timers and what not but the v1 is just fine. yes they both have preloaded maps and yes they both can get custom tuned.

If you are not going to use the live data features (boost, idc, temp, ignition, ect) then just get the v1. There are absolutly no performance upgrades between v1 and v2. Same maps and so on. I got the v2 because I did not have a boost gauge and I liked the idea of having a displayable unit so I could switch maps on the fly.

Yeah, but you didn't get married until after you got the WRX. Coincidence?

The V2 also flashes faster, uses USB, holds more maps, and is more likely to safe your ass if your ECU becomes corrupt. Many also are loving the flat foot shifting, and launch control (V2 only).

What's flat foot shifting and launch control for?

I'm not sure if I am interested in the flat foot shifting or the launch control, simply because I do not launch my car on the street! Flat foot shifting just doesn't sound good to me.....So what I get out of what I've heard from you guys and other people that own Subaru's is that if you want a COBB AP with a nice display and a lot of extra "BLING" that is included with the new version, get a V2. If you want an AP that is very basic but does the trick without all the bells and whistles, get a V1. They both hold the same maps and load them the same (one a little faster apparently), and I'm not really interested in the flat foot shifting, launch control, or the gauges/bling that comes in the V2. Can anyone else tell me why I NEED or have to have an AP V2?! Why I shouldn't just swoop a V1 for under half the price?! If anyone has any experience or insight on this please let me know. Thanks

One thing I never thought I would see, A General Lee WRX! WOW now that is funny!

Does anyone know how many maps the V1 holds as opposed the the V2 by chance?!

Nah, just get a V1. The V2 also does 0-60 and quarter mile times, but it's really bad at it, so I've heard.

I would say V1 also. I have one, I don't switch my maps often so it is all I need.

v1!

You don't need to hold a bunch of maps, you can store them on your laptop if for some reason you have like 10.
