Default Hello from Reno...sort of

Hey guys,

I'm new to the area and forum, but a Subaru fan for many years. My name is Logan (scoobytuning.com - not trying to plug the site, since the contact info is no longer active). It's good to be back in the community after a break from my divorce. Anyway, I live in Nor Cal, but my new wife is finishing up her PHD at UNR, so I'm back and forth on the weekends. I plan on getting a Subaru in the coming months, since I-80, snow and sportbikes do not mix well

Thanks, it's good to be back in the forum environment. I really want to get an FXT. When I was tuning in Utah, I had the chance to tune a few with VF-39's, plus supporting mods, and loved them. We'll see how it goes.

Are there many open source tuners' here? I've seen quite a few turbo Subarus...I've heard of KSpeed, but mobile services?

Didn't anyone tell you? You don't need a tune at elevation.

There are a couple local tuners. Knucklesplitter (Matt) at KSpeed is the most trusted, I believe. There's a guy named Cory (MayhemTuning on here?) that seems to have a good following too. My tuner, Ed of EQTuning in Fairfield, CA, used to come up and tune cars but he has been too busy and passed that business to Cory, as I understand it. Still, many locals take their car to GST Motorsports or DBTuned in CA.

Thanks, good to know. I was tuning for Truetune, in SLC, own scoobytuning.com, ect... looking to get back into it, as I miss the tuning world. Was turned off from divorce and some of the lovely people on NASIOC.

Technically yes, but I haven't been active there in 4 or 5 years.

I would like to do some auto x at some point. I tuned several cars that competed at Miller Motor Sports winter cross, one of which won the awd class in his LGT wagon, but need to get another car. Soon, I hope
