Car: 2011 Chevy Battle Wagon
Default So I decided....

Well...was more forced to decide. I went and test drove a few different cars...including the legacy GT, but I could not accept any of the offers they presented. Basically, I would be digging myself a hole right now due to the miles on my car. Last thing I want is to trade in at a loss.

So I will be holding the car for at least another year...(maybe when the STi legacy is out ).

SO.....I decided that its time to mod a little since I am almost warrenty free.

I purchased:

MRT Flex Uppipe
Bosal Cat-Back
Helix Downpipe
Gasket Kit
Grounding Kit
Intercooler Hose Kit
Perrin Boost Controller
Rota Battles 18x7.5 in Bronze
STi JDM Radiator Cap.
Seatbelt harnesses

I actually received my wheels, downpipe, gaskets, grounding kit, seatbelt pads, and intercooler kit today. Everything else should be here tomorrow.

So now I have 2 things.

1. What tires should I look for? What sizes? I haven't had 18" wheels before. I would prefer no rubbing

2. Subydude is the shit. He gets things to me way to quick. Thanks again.

Plus I was able to finally hook up those Prodrive FF1000 foglights, and damn they are bright.

Watch out with the radiator cap. Kevin and Scott are saying that it can cause radiator leaks because it raises the water pressure higher then some portions of the cooling system can handle.

Other then that, congrats on keeping your car
And going all out on the mod list

It will all be installed by meet time. Revolution motorsports forgot to give me my lugnuts...so kinda held up on them also. Hopefully, all done by the meet. I may need help with the spark plugs, but the rest will be okay.

Yes, I am coming back to racing Debbie. I also am ordering a set of Rota Downshifts in black with a polished lip for track and autocross. With Azenies.

But...What tires for street use on the 18" rims? What size should it be with stock height on a wagon?

just checkin, cause I liked them also, I would sport them as my winter wheels, then I could sell my stockers.

Yeah, if you want. I really don't know what I'm doing, but if you need someone else to stand around and go "yup", "um hum" and "sweet" I can definitely help out

Seriously, though, if you need any help, I ain't got anything better to do so let me know.

Sweet. I have a heavy list to finish if I wanna make track day. I want to finish the 30k which includes:

Spark Plugs
Fule Filter
PCV Valve

Then it would be sick if I got the:

Uppipe
Downpipe
Catback
Intercooler Hoses
Grounding Kit

done also.

BTW - I researched quite a bit about the radiator cap. I had the STi on before, and never had a issue. I did hear about people's misfortune while having them on, but from what most people say, they can't prove it was the cap either.

Like many others, I run the Falken Azenis ST 115 on my 18's. I have never liked a touring/ street tire as much as this one. Not only is it quiet, it looks good, performs well, and is cheap. I run them, as do Scott, Matt (scott's roomate), Khail, among others. Best street tire anywhere...
