(05 wrx wagon)

Im rather new to subaru and would like to get either a catback, turboback, downpipe, uppipe, or some combinations of the above.

Which ones, I see helix, cobb, invidia, and other various names.

Who has what and do they like the sound, performance, ect...

I have a Perrin TBE and love it!!!! it is a little loud for most and seems that the Greedy Evo 2 is a big hit for those looking for great gains with min. sound

The only real thing to worry about is making sure your chosen downpipe and catback work together, and don't neck down below 3" at any point. Other than that, the differences are in sound and looks, not really performance. I am a big fan of twin tip exhausts like Stromung and Perrin's and the Vishnu one, but that's me. Others here go for the melon shooter look.

I have the Invidia Downpipe, GT Spec2 headers and up pipe, and the Greddy Evo 2 cat back. I really like this set-up............Still has the melon shooter opening, but straight and very quiet.

The EVO 2 does taper to 2.75 inch at the downpipe connection if that is a concern. I can't imagine that I am losing more that 2-5 whp on that though.

If you are planning on doing autocross having at least one cat will give you more class options.

I had a cobb tbe on my wrx, and loved the tone of the sound, but it was a bit loud for me (even though it is one of the quieter ones in the group)

Incredibly rare STi wheels made by Rays. So nice.

And to keep this thread semi-on-topic, I really like the Greddy Evo and Evo2. They have a nice sound without being loud.

And yes to keep the thread on the RIGHT topic, I am glad I went with HKS(On the evo) because some of the others are just too loud.. I think Espilir(Sp ?) is also a great exhaust for the subaru's..

No, the 5 spoke STi wheels are simply Rays. Rays Engineering is the company name, Volk is a product line.
