Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.
Default Coil packs. injectors & CEL Codes...

Couldn't decide if this should go here or classifieds. Decided it was more Tech.

Anybody got any spare '02-'03 WRX coil packs or side feed injectors.

Are '04-'07 STI coil packs the same?

Sue's Bugeye wagon may or may not have one or more couple marginal coil packs or injectors.

At minimum may want to borrow for testing and might need to buy...

I will refrain from getting into the nightmare the car has been through the past 3,6 and/or 12 months at GST, but it is now at my house.

It runs rough at idle and throws P0302s (missfire Cyl 2) with the occasional P0303 and P0301 for good measure. Never a P0304, go figure. Does not appear to throw codes at speed.

Before the drive from Danville to Reno it had the MAF cleaned, Post MAF leak "Spray test" passed and now has about a tankful of good 91 octane and Berryman B-12 & SeaFoam injector cleaner through it.

No codes all the way here including a stop in Auburn for gas until idling at the light at Mayberry & McCarren. Thrown a couple while driving around town since. Does the same thing on stock or ECUTek stage 1 ECUs.

Allegedly has new plugs, good compression / leak down.

Cory gets it Tuesday if I don't figure it out first, but may still need coil packs/injectors.

We see plugs with the wrong gap in the WRX. The NGK catalog is wrong, and many of the Napa/O'Reilly stores will sell plugs with too much gap.

WRX has top-feed injectors. We have coil packs we can use for testing.

Hey Dean,
I also have a used set of coil packs that you could use to test if you need them.

It is running fine so far. Swapped the ECUTek Stage 1 ECU back in this morning and will drive it like that for a while before it goes back to Sue.

Sue says thanks Cory & Matt by the way.

No problem at all! Just glad that, so far at least, the solution seemed to be an easy one.
