Default It's official... the SVX is a d-bag attractor

First, there were these incidents... just a the few I bothered to write up of what's really a regular thing:

Dear driver of the gray EVO with stickers all over it...

Dear douchbag in the silver Genesis Coupe

Dear spineless coward...

Then Lisa told me after driving the SVX for the past week "You know, I always thought you exaggerated about how bad people drive around you. But after driving the SVX, I see people doing all sorts of dumb stuff around me that I never see in my car or the truck."

And then just today at lunch... I'm lined up next to some 50+ y/o man, with his wife, in their new-ish ES Lexus. And he nearly does a burnout when the light turned green in order to race me down to the next light? What sort of grown-ass man, with his wife, in his tarted up $40,000 Camry races a 16 year old $2,000 Subaru that's not even going full throttle? That Lexus is so obviously going to be a crapload faster than an SVX, even if I were racing him.

I guess he didn't like the way I laughed and shook my head at him as I rolled past him from the right turn lane because he decided to pull out behind me an follow me around the right turn even though he was apparently planning on going straight. But then he didn't follow me into the Wendy's parking lot where I was going, so go figure.

Either way, I get that the SVX is bright red, and that it might look a little exotic. But for god's sake, it says "Subaru" right on the back, and it's so obviously dated looking to the early 90's. Shouldn't anyone that's into cars enough to want to race me also be into cars enough to know how slow an SVX is?

*sigh* I need to get an outback wagon.

That would probably be a close race. The SVX has WRX power but RS performance!

That's what you get for driving a ski-bum Ferrari.

I guess that's what it'd be if you could put a roof rack on it. But with those stupid windows and no rear-doors, the only way to put a rack on one is to run bolts through the roof.
