Default SECCS member pricing for Subaru maintenance

Finally, the thread you've been waiting for- KSpeed's standardized maintenance pricing! Everything here represents a discount off of our already low retail rates. All you have to do to get the pricing here is say you saw it on the forum. Well, that or be someone we already know is here. Pricing is sorted by engine model and mileage interval. If you don't see your Suby represented here, just call, but we should have all the normal Subaru bases covered here in the next few days. Please note that pricing is subject to change, and that for the near future we will need some lead time before your appointment until we have had a chance to build a larger inventory.

All service prices below assume Normal Service conditions and manual transmission. Please call if you have questions about Severe Service schedules, or have an automatic transmission. Additionally, please note that there are some variations from these schedules, particularly with 2008 and newer Subarus. Please call for details.

Hello KSpeed! Unless I just read over it I don't see pricing for 2.0L WRX's. Mine is due for the 105k service, but I don't need an oil change. I called the dealership today and they said they charge $695. How much are you guys charging?

Also it's a little OT but I have some tokico struts on order and need to get them installed. Are you guys able to install those and do an alignment and for how much?

Thanks!

Rob

Crap! I forgot to post the 2.0 liter stuff this evening. I can't recall exactly what the EJ20 105k is, but we can beat any dealer price. Does theirs include the water pump? I'll post what I worked up today as soon as I get back to work tomorrow.

Strut installation and alignment is no problem! $150 (2 hours) for the strut install, and $75 for 4 wheel alignment for stock-style suspension.

Rob, without the oil change, the 105k service is $650. Doesn't sound like much savings, but that includes the complete timing kit- belt, tensioner, all idlers- plus a new water pump. If you would prefer, we could cut quite a bit of cost out by just doing the belt (which is what the dealer is likely doing) but we would only be able to warranty the installation, not the full job like we normally would.

Wow, that's considerably cheaper than the other places I was quoted at. Is that for all 4 corners? Everyone else said it would take 5 hours. You guys are speedy!

For things that Cory has done a hundred times or so, it doesn't take long. I didn't look up book time, but I'd be surprised if it was under 5 hours.

We did a 2000 Forester today - pulled the engine to replace both head gaskets, timing kit, & water pump for $1150. The customer dropped the car off in the morning and picked it up at the end of the same day.

I'm guessing you'd have a bit extra fee for Motul/ATE Super Blue brake fluid on your 90k? Also, could a K&N service (clean & oil properly for no fouled MAF) be traded out for the Wix filter even steven?

BTW, these prices FTW.

Yes, ATE/Motul would be extra, unless you brought it in and yes, we can clean your filter instead of selling you a new one. No problem!

Fender rolling is $75 per axle, and yes we have the thingamabobber.

$150 for all four? Not bad at all.

I kinda figured most around here had a non-Wix/paper/stock filter in their car so wondered if we'd be

Y'all are gonna be raking it in off me in a few thousand

We did a timing belt job on a stock bugeye WRX today. At only 96k miles one of the toothed idlers was almost seized up. The customer is lucky he decided to do the job early, because I doubt it would have lasted much longer, and that failure would have been ugly. The TB service interval on newer Subarus is 105k, and we don't recommend trying to stretch that out longer. It is very rare to find an intact stock belt at 130k. We also strongly recommend all the idlers and tensioner be replaced along with the timing belt.

I have the pulley in question and it should spin with ease, but I had to use vise grips to get it to turn(barley). I am sure glad I didn`t wait any longer.

The replacement interval is 105 months or kMiles but the inspection is 30,60,90 months/kMiles. Sounds like it was good you had the 90K "inspection".

Many people forget the Months bit which can catch you if you don't drive many miles every year. Those numbers mean if you have a 2002 or older it is probably time to do it. Rubber parts and petroleum based products fail over time regardless of use/wear. I almost wrote that as "rubbers and lubricants".
