Default Running wide tires?

This just pisses me off. 275/40R17s You bastards and your bigger wheel wells. Somone was running 285s on their STi too apparently. You guys are dropping the ball with your skinny ass tires. I just wanted to vent, no real purpose to this post.

Holy crap! To run that wide those must be 17x10's! or maybe their wheels go to 11.

275/40-17s will work on a 9" rim, but 285s is pushing it... Those look like Enkei RPF1s in the picture...

The only problem with 275/40-17s though is they are damn tall for the car. Unfortunately 275/35-17s are basicaly nonexistant..

Most 275's work fine on a 9" wide rim, that's the Toyo size we use for AI racing.
