Default Looking for stock STI turbo ASAP.

I am posting this for a friend. His just bit the dust and he would like to get one today. Going into an 06 STI. If you have one or a turbo similar in size that could be tuned for, let me know.

Also, he did find someone with a 20g but I have no idea what supporting mods he may or may not need with that. Anyone know off hand? I will be searching NASIOC until then.

Anything larger including a 20g will likely require fuel pump and injectors as well as tuning.

QFT. Also beware of Chinese/eBay 18g's and 20g's.

I have the stock turbo that was just in my car. I don't know what the exact condition is of it yet since my car is still at Kspeed, but if its in good condition i am willing to sell it.

Can't vouch for the overall condition of Steve's turbo, but the shaft play feels good.

If it is a VF39 from '04, it probably has "the crack".

The crack is in the cast wastegate housing and is basically unweldable, though there are some that claim it can be if caught early. Even MikeK's < 10K turbo had it starting. It is not a big deal until it grows and can start leaking boost and cause some flutter.

Just be aware that basically every VF39 has it and it may or may never cause an issue.
