Hawt. No kidding, Khail. I just picked up a '91, sadly not an RS though.

Those cars are pretty awesome. I wouldn't mind having one around to mess with.

khail19 2006-01-11 05:26 PM

GC8.love,

The 90 and up Impulses are FWD (except the AWD RS) and are much easier to get wheels for. Pretty much any Honda Civic rim (4x100, 38-45mm offset) will fit on those.

It was a fun car, RWD but only like 110hp. I think the Turbo models were like 150hp, pretty respectable for a USDM car during the 80s. Impossible to find mods for those anymore. There was one website that did aftermarket stuff, but they don't anymore.

GC8.Love 2006-01-11 05:58 PM

Yeah. The XS isn't too bad for a FWD. I would have rather had an RS, but beggars can't be choosers.

Actually, there's one for sale in Sparks, but I can't remember if it was an RS or not. It was in pretty awful shape cosmetically, and who knows as far as mechanically.

I've never changed rims on my car, just a waste of money IMO.

Impulses are hot.

Ya but I didn't change them, Scott did. haha

I have no aftermarket rims.

Yet.

Muhahaha!

Mine'd be hotter if it had some wheels. Damn 15s... It's actually more pressing than the RS right now. And it needs new struts and stuff, too. I think 3 of 4 are blown - at least 2 are.

You have any pics of the RP02s on your car? I'm thinking of getting a set.

bemani 2006-01-12 10:29 PM

I will soon, just got these wheels today.

khail19 2006-01-13 07:09 AM

Awesome, thanks.

I've had:

2 sets of 91 Turbo Legacy rims
1 set of 01 RS 6-spokes
1 set of 02-04 WRX stockers
On my 2nd set of Gold STI BBS
And I might buy a set of black powdercoated SDRs ;)

sti deede 2006-01-20 02:54 PM

You forgot the set of 02-03 WRX rims currently on the 2.5RS.

AtomicLabMonkey 2006-01-20 03:10 PM

Whores, all of you.

After a whole page of that crap it needed reinforcement.

I guess I've had a couple sets on my car (though 2 sets were Scott's, I can't find the pic of it on WRX rims). There is a pic of my car with stock MY00 rims, but they weren't my OEM ones and they took me up pike's peak so they get special recognition.

This is OT, but you should slap some rear spats on that mofo. It has "porn-ass."
