Default The Wheel Whore Registry

I formally invite all you wheel whores, rim sluts, and dub-ostitues to list the results of your sickness. i.e. Post all the aftermarket wheels you've owned over the years. Let's see who's the biggest whore of 'em all.

Here's mine:

1995 Ford Thunderbird:

17x9" Cobra R Replica (Silver)

2002 Subaru WRX:

18x7.5" Rota SubZero (Silver w/ polished lip)

17x7" Prodrive P1 (Anthracite)

17x7.5" Rota Attack (White)

17x8" Enkei RPF1 (Silver)

sorry, no pics on the car...
17x8" Rota Boost (Gold)

1994 Subaru SVX:

17x8" MB Motorsports Weapon (aka A-Tech Erasor) (Bronze)

That's only 7 sets... I know some of you guys have me beat (*cough* sybir).

Rules nothing... I shouldn't have to edit his tags for him, he's a big boy.

1988 Isuzu Impulse
(This car was a bitch to find rims for! 4x100 with a 25mm offset)

1st were some 15" Black Enkei 5 spoke wheels that I can't find any pics of on the web.

16" ROH Reflex

16" Team Dynamics Motorsports

2002 2.5 RS

18x7.5 +45 Konig Toxxin, custom painted by me.

17x7 +48 Rage Euros, which I painted bronze after a year of silver.

17x7.5 +48 Enkei RP02s, my current summer rims.

16x7 1999 2.5RS rims, my current winter rims.

16x7 1998 2.5RS rims, my old winter rims. Didn't like gold on silver so I traded a guy back east for the silver ones above.

My old, old winter rims were 6 spoke 16" Primax cheapies that I can't find a pic of either. Now they are the wife's winter rims.

99 RS wheels (first set, later PC'd black and put on our racecar)

Gram Lights (traded for the P1's)

WRX 16's (winter wheels, sold)

Second set of 99's (winter wheels, lived a short life on our shop drift car, and they're back on drift leg v2.0)

Rota Actions (still my favorites)

01 RS wheels, rattlecanned black (very temporary, now on one of the shop Leg Turbos.)

Prodrive P1's

20% gloss black PC'd SDR's:

Not pictured:
'01 RS wheels, sold to Nick, bought back, never made it onto my car before being put on a shop car (does that count twice?)

2 sets of white Rota Attacks, my total ricer wheels. Can't find pics. Both owned by Scott's with blue bugeyes with projectors, I sense a pattern

Gunmetallic Torques, sold to Rich.

And, the 18x8 Superleggeras sitting in my garage right now

And, my ricy Camry (TRD POWAH!!!!!!!!11!!!!111) with two different sets of 15x6.5, ET40 Konigs. 205/50/15's, and I had to roll the rear fenders at stock height to keep from rubbing

Villains - run off the road and bent two of 'em in half.....

So I had to replace them with....
Reigns

And the truck I still miss (this is after the bodyshop owner bought the salvage and rebuilt her with knockoff wheels in the same style)

Originals were Enkei full 3 piece mags, one of them got folded back over the center in the accident, and my dad left it at the wheel repair shop becuase he got a new truck
Irreplaceable, will never find them again.

First wheels- (I was slow to catch the wheel whore disease, but it progressed quickly!)

Prodrive P1s

Then Gram Light 57Cs

[no pics- Sybir, help a brother out! Or I can just tell everyone to look at the Gram Lights in your post, and Nick's, and Mike's if he makes one. ]

flat black stockers (with worst track tire evar) They count because it was my second set. nKoan got the originals I think (or maybe vice versa. either way.)

gold 1998 RS wheels

white Rota Attacks courtesy sperry. If loving white wheels on a dark blue car is wrong, I don't wanna be right!

best wheel I will ever own; Volk CE28Ns

And dammit, I guess I better get crackin' on Miata wheels. Hell, they're practically half price compared my RS wheels.

They're currently "Dark Silver" (I think that's the official OZ color)

Some of the spokes are a bit corroded, and there's a tiny kerb mark I didn't notice before, so I'm gonna mount them up, see if I really dig 'em, and if I do, get them PC'd a darker color, more like the P1 Anthracite. I don't want to lose the fine detail on the rim, and I'm already hocking a set of rims I just had PC'd, so I want to wait before I throw more money at these

Should look pretty pimp, we'll see how it works with 18x8's

Damn... I had Aaron by a set and a half until he whipped out the Camry, and truck.

I had 5 or 6 sets for my two Lancias, and two for the Audi 5000, 2 for my Volvo, but they were all stockers off of something, like some of his, and therefore ineligible IMHO. I bow to his whoredom.

I think I'm still winning the current ownership race though. Eric might be a contender. Where is he?

Well, after cleaning up the curbage from the previous owner of the Grams, I had them Powdercoated. I went with a dark bronze, they should look pretty cool on the car .

Very nice, man. I'm actually thinking about a color like that for the Superleggeras, but may stick with anthracite. Still $35 apiece?

Well, they were $65 now, because the sand blasting took so much effort, I guess Rays uses really strong paint/ PC when they are made. SO I got hosed. Id say the only way to get the $35 price is to take in a plain wheel, like a stock BBS or RPF-1. Otherwise, they stick it in ya for Sandblasting.

Actually, I know a guy that was selling a media blaster like 6 months ago... I wonder if he'd still got it. Then we could blast the wheels ourselves and bring 'em in for PC w/o any prep work required.

That would be sick, then they'd go for like $20 a wheel!

I emailed my friend at work about his media blasting booth... something tells me it's not going to be powerful enough for wheels since it's designed for cleaning engine parts, but we'll see what he has to say.
