It has to do with the arching of the back to lift the hips up into the air. Just check out pretty much any "doggie-style" porn image. JC's RS has porn-ass because the ground clearance difference from the sideskirts to the rear bumper, coupled with the wing, make it look like it has its ass lifted up. :P

Don't get me wrong, they're hot wheels!

M3n2c3 2006-01-22 12:52 PM

Yeah, I like 'em.

Updated 7/07. . .

Pic 1: stockers, of course.

Pic 2: Gram Lights 57c, anthracite. From what I can tell, these are pretty much the closest thing we have to a set of "Club wheels," having been on Aaron's, Kevin's, and Nick's cars before mine. . . possibly more! Can anyone else lay claim to having run on these wheels? Now Kevin has 'em again.

Pic 3: Rota Subzeros, silver w/ polished lip. Meant for autox, but currently sitting unused in my garage with a 1/2 worn set of Azenis 615s. :(

Pic 4: A quick shot of my car with Rota SDRs in gunmetal. They looked great on my car, but sadly the pairing was not to be. . .

Pic 5: Rota SDR (yeah, I like the Prodrive GC-07 knock-offs so much that I went out of my way to find another set)! Rattle-canned graphite. Spent an entire day cleaning, sanding, cleaning again, priming, painting in coats, and clearcoating. The graphite paint had such a heavy texture that I even had to run back out to Kragen for more clearcoat to get even a remotely smooth finish. . .

Anyway, pix!

Good man :D

I got the chick wheels on again, still need to toss on the Boosts :D

This post is dedicated to every Legacy wheel and tire thread posted on the other site, where the general consensus is "you can't go wider than a 215 on a 7.5 wheel, you'll probably still rub...."

235/40/17 Hankook Ventus RS2's on 17x8 Rota Boosts. No rubbing :D

I'd like to thank my sponsors: Sperry, Sperry's CC issuer, and of course, my boys over at Propane who have always stood by me :D

On another note, I love goooooooooooold..............and it's really satisfying working on your own car in your own garage :D

These are seriously my favorite wheels on the car. I think I'm going to rock 17's from this point forward, so I'm going to sell the Superleggeras and get another set of 17's to put all-seasons on. I'm loving the RS2's, as well. Thanks for the hookup, mang :D

I wish Rota made a 8.5" wide boost... I'd totally get another set of 'em! Actually, I can probably run the boosts w/ a 3mm spacer after the hub conversion, but they'd be a little narrow for the 255 tires I'm trying to run.

For now, I'm just happy the wheels found a good home, they look better on the wagon than they ever did on my car!

sybir 2006-09-03 07:40 PM

mmmmmm.

Had to whore my favorite new pic.

5 sets in the 2+ years I've owned the car. Not too shabby.

tysonK 2007-04-11 01:26 PM

those are cool, no 18"?

Nick Koan 2007-04-11 01:31 PM

They make them in 17,18 and 19 but I'm pretty much set on 17s as the best size for me.

eggeegg 2007-04-11 11:38 PM

they have all season tires (re960). i originally planned to keep my stock wheels for winter but don't like how they look anymore.

100_Percent_Juice 2007-04-12 08:21 AM

that looks good. I like the second picture the best. what size tires are those?

AtomicLabMonkey 2007-04-12 08:42 AM

Christ, how do you guys afford to go through this many sets of wheels & tires? That shit's expensive.

The tires are 225/45/17. i wanted 235/40 but they didn't come in that size. my other choice was 235/45, which would fit but the diameter would be too big when compared to stock for my liking. the tire fitment looks good on the wheel but i have to still stay away from curbs.

Buy wheels for $1000. Use them for a year or so. Sell them for $800. Repeat.

cody 2007-04-12 10:29 AM

My first set of Enkei RP02's with RT-615's mounted was ~$850 shipped from Edgeracing. The second identicle set I bought slightly used for $750 delivered (to Roseville).

Thank god for tax refunds post home purchase. I'll need new tires mid-season.

Edit: I owe Khail for finding the 2nd set for me. :)

17x8 Rota G-Force
http://www.neurosybir.net/nkoan/imag...0639_sized.jpg

Have you or are you still thinking of selling your G-forces? I remember a slight fog of discussion about that while I looked for wheels for my old BG. I'd be interested in the start of summer if you are. 17x8, e48 bronze, right?

Nick Koan 2007-04-18 12:11 PM

Sorry, they've already been sold :(

left footed whooten 2007-04-18 12:27 PM

Wa da ta...Hadda ask.

I need some wheel whore input here, mostly color related. Opinions of gold on silver, or good color recommendations for crystal grey.
Thinking of what color I want for CGM. Gold RPF1's sounded good in 17x8. Rota bronze also sounded good, but...

Liking the hyper black, someone chopped these onto my car along with the tint, me likey but hyperblack rotas only come in limited styles of 17". These are 18" P1's:

http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...1003054kr8.jpg

2 pennies from anyone?

cody 2007-04-18 12:36 PM

I like. :)

left footed whooten 2007-04-18 12:43 PM

If they only made a 17" in these 9-spoke....next best thing tarmac 2 maybe. Comes in hyperblack

cody 2007-04-18 12:54 PM

I never liked the shape of the spokes on the Tarmac II but I've heard that they're supposed to be the strongest Rotas but they're also one of the lightest.

^I just saw your car on nasioc. Do you only have one recaro seat?

sybir 2007-04-19 05:42 PM

Yep, I got a deal on one used and haven't felt a need to equip the passenger (it's already got a bugeye WRX seat). This is my daily driver, one expensive Recaro is enough.

M3n2c3 2007-07-15 01:18 PM

Forgot to update my post with my SDRs. . .

http://www.seccs.org/forums/showpost...5&postcount=61

4 aftermarket sets of rims and I've only had the car for two years. . . now to start on the Forester
