My lift just broke!

And it scared the SHIT out of me!

I was lifting an Armada, which is right at the max. capacity of the lift anyways, weight wise, and the lift cable snapped! Like a f*cking RIFLE!

Luckily the truck was only about 8 inches off the ground, because the driver's side lock on the rack hadn't engauged yet, and that side of the truck came down IMMEDIATELY! Imagine if it had been 8 FEET off the ground...

Just thought I'd share. Now I have to go change my pants...

Luckily a can of Mountain Dew helped prevent the lift from totally collapsing.

That lift is racist!

I found a more appropriate version of that picture.

Well played sir.

A1337STI 2006-05-16 03:30 PM

wow that must have been a rather crazy experiance. That's just like this one time at my job a keyboard almost fell on me .. well uhm. excluding the whole life in danger / searious injury threat aspects of your experiance.

Dean 2006-05-16 04:50 PM

Wow, glad you are OK, and there wasn't a Subaru on the rack at the time... :)

Ezdno 2006-05-17 12:21 AM

Cory,

I think its time to find a new place, Nissan is not having a good year! Glad you weren't #3 dude!

MPREZIV 2006-05-17 07:50 AM

Ok, the picture of the Armada falling off the lift is F*ing HILARIOUS!

It wasn't too bad altogether, only due to the fact that it wasn't too high up in the air, but it could have been BAD...
