Question springs 'n things

I was just curious, where is everyone gettin' there suspension bits from? For now I'm just gonna get some springs, I can't handle my junk tip-toeing around anymore! Also where is everyone getting them installed? Thanks!

Chris.

I think it all depends on what you're looking for. I've had good luck with www.racecompengineering.com. They usually get things moving quickly, and prices are fair.

We mostly install springs ourselves, it's really not hard to do, there are plenty of people here who could help you with that, as long as we get a free weekend or something.

If I need to have something installed, I always go to Subaru Specialists in Sacramento.

Hey, I think Eric still has some springs for sale, Tanabe's I think... PM qksubi, you might get a sweet deal.

Springs will knock you out of your stock class. But if thats cool, then its no big deal.

As for installation, Matt installed his springs himself and I think a few others went to Subaru Specialists in Sacramento. Don't know if anyone has used a shop up here yet or not.

It's pretty easy to do on your own, I wouldn't pay someone.

Ha HA nick your motto is hilarious! Is that from A.T.H.F? The frat alien episode has shake drunk ass saying that," I throw..... DOWN! I almost said throw up, but I didn't, I hold My boose! My boose! I hold boobs everyday!!" Or something to that effect? Hey thanks for the link Matt, and I'll check into Eric's springs.

I love it when the moderators make sure to keep the tech threads off topic.

Shit, I don't care, it's your thread...I'm the "Good cop" around here anywhay, Scott's last name is Hitler.

Anyway, I talked to Eric, he's on his way back from Elko on the train right now, but he's interested in selling the springs, he just has to take them off the sti struts...maybe offer to buy the STi struts too? Who knows.

Are you sure the springs are the same, better check on that.

I'm gonna start buying all my stuff from S-Squared.

PM Aaron(sybir) for what you want and he can get things moving for you.

When I bought my heavy duty mounts I didn't have to pay tax or shipping(cause of the sac-reno express delivery), so it was pretty damn cheap!!!

I'll have to look into the springs thing, I really wasn't sure, but hoping they were the same.

The springs should be the same. If it was an '05 Sti then they wouldn't work.

<-- Also on the Subaru Specialists Express Saver program.

Cool, I know they changed the bolt pattern in '05, so I wasn't sure if that was it.

How come the strut bolt pattern on th 04 sti are different from the 05? it sucked I got ground control coil overs, on a set of 04 struts and i was planning on just swapping them on my car and it would not work....made the process like 15 min longer. i got my springs changed out in about in hour and was super easy.... defentaly would not pay to get it done, acually i have done everything by my self except the clutch. seemed like to much of a pain
