Man, the more I see pictures like those, the more I can understand the magnitude of this disaster...I'm still in awe of the tremendous amount of loss that resulted...

Those are good pictures to get a grasp of the magnitude - but the ones that really draw on my emotions are of the people.

I gave to the Red Cross last week, and hope that those of you who can, will help in some way. This can be such a controversial subject, because we also have so many in the U.S. who are in need, i.e. the Florida hurricane victims -- but for domestic help, I usually donate things like food & clothing to the local agencies.

This was interesting, a tsunami timeline. If I'm reading this right, Sri Lanka wasn't hit for almost 2 hours after the initial impact.

I'm not sure but Mr. Schumacher isn't even on the forbes top 20 list where the fuck is Bill gates :? I think Japan has only given 10mill or somthing what I talking about I haven't donated anything I need to do that

$500Million (as of Sunday or earlier) - up until today, Japan was the biggest contributor of money. I'm sure the U.S. aid is going to end up being way more than the $350million the U.S. has pledged so far, though.
