Car: 2006 WRX Limited MT VF39 Protuned, with Cold Air Box, Sway Bars, Walboro FP, Hallman MBC Do Work! | Question about cusco rear strut brace

I got a stage 1 suspension package from Cobb and the install instructions were all in Japanese. I figure that it should be pretty easy, but does anyone know what I need to do to install it? Do I have to remove the back seat or go at it from the trunk? By the way, the cobb sway bars make the car feel totally different! Much better. |

On a coupe or sedan, you're removing the back seat to install a strut brace.

The answer is Both...Yes, the bar runs through the trunk, but you need to remove the seat to get at the topmounts. I would suggest putting it all together without snugging it all down, then once all teh bolts are through and lined up, tighten everything up.

Be careful, the 3 strut top bolts (studs) are easily broken by over-tightening the nuts on each one. I think they're supposed to only get 12.5 lb's of torque (I just do medium-light to medium tight with a 3/8" drive ratchet).

Indeed. Good point. I remember at least two cases on this board alone, of people snapping one of those off before...not fun.

Thanks for that, I probably would have snapped one of them as soon as I put mine in.
