I work on the side for an Architect thats in the building just up the parking lot from were your car is always parked. You used to have a silver WRX, then all of a sudden your Blue STI showed up. I seen some dude and a chick standing outside that office smoking one time. Was that you? Anyway, I drive a Silver 05 STi. As for the Airport up there, there is a sign at the parking lot that strictly prohibits unlawfull vehicle access. If I remember correctly, there is a code listed. Also, remember that airport is in Killafornia. So God only knows what they can and will do to you for messing around on their pretty much private airport. And yes, they still use it. I think a federal agency has juridiction over it. (FAA?)

Remember, no on knew anything about Imprezas back then. Also, the sticker on the WRX I bought was $29.5k after the dealer markup. An '01 w/ a $24k sticker seems cheap.

In fact, I bet 90% of people know what they are today only because of the WRX.

It's just the blanket statement of "Remember, no one knew anything about Imprezas back then." But that only bothers me because everything I read on the internet is true.

we need to find the guy around tahoe in the black sti, and then all drive around er something... And Hell yeah, i proudly rent (didn't know to buy 5 years ago, and the prices are way to inflated now, re will crash, i'll invest in stocks & gold and buy re when the cycle is in a low, lol not a high) and nope i'm not one of the smokers. i look like Jesus if you've seen me, you know. and Crap that is california. Aha they have like the same law
Every person who drives a vehicle upon a street or highway in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of a violation of California Vehicle Code §23103 (a), a misdemeanor. Willful or wanton disregard means an intentional or conscious disregard for the safety of persons or property. In order to prove this crime, each of the following elements must be proved: 1. A person drove a vehicle upon a street or highway 2. At the time, the driver did so with an intentional or conscious disregard for the safety of persons or property. tresspassing is like a $90 fine. i will pay the $90 to drive in a safe setting such 3/4 of a mile of tarmac with no other cars, or private property to damage. (maybe somehow you could damage the actual tarmac itself ?) if its an airport its not a street or a highway , its a privately owned plot of tarmac. i dunno , we all die right? did something change? no? okay , think i'll have a little fun before i kick it . guess i could try and contact the owners and see if they are okay with me driving there, maybe offer them $20 a visit. (then it's all legal and what not) anyone have their contact info ? |

Just save your $90 fine and do some test and tune days at RFR(Fernley).
That might be missing the point of this thread though.

Oh and... 1996 Ford Thunderbird LX V8 7.9s (0-60) 1991 Subaru Legacy Sport Sedan 8.5s (0-60) 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 7.8s (0-60) http://www.albeedigital.com/supercou...0-60times.html http://www.modernracer.com/history/s...rshistory.html I guess 0.1s makes the difference between a "performance car" and a "non-performance car". What's it like driving the absolutely slowest "performance car" possible JC?

Maybe there is something more to being a performance car than 0-60? Naw couldn't be. I would not consider my wagon a "performance car."

I had a 96 impreza brighton. they go around. cornering still feels good in them. (a bit of body roll, but from the more i'm learning that may actually help ya )
and yarr, the Impreza went from Unkwown to super star ! |
