Well said Scott. Almost everytime I take that onramp there is a NHP officer waiting at the bottom. Stupid place to speed, stupid thing to do period.

Oh man Cory. When I saw you get pulled over, I was said "WTF?" to myself (Yes, I actually said double u tee eff, instead of what the fuck).

I was hoping you wouldn't get a ticket. I almost wanted to stop to try and help you reason with the cop, but I know that wouldn't have helped. Glad to hear he acknowledged his mistake.

Oh, and plus 1 for the camry not attracting cop attention.

Scott,

You are correct. I am sorry about the incedent that occurred after the meet. I was not aware of the NHP that pulled Cory over. I did see a NHP by the McArren exit with a green Subaru, but was un-aware that my "fun" caused any problems.

Cory, I appoligize for getting you into trouble. You may kick me in the nutz the next time you see me.

Seccs - I will understand if you want me to take my antics and leave. I just get carried away sometimes. I will make and effort to be more respectfull of the club if you do choose to allow me to stay.

Scott - I do tend to drive different with Lisa in the car. I assure you that I will refrain from anything when she is in the car. Teri on the other hand enjoys it from time to time.

Once again, my appologies to all.

Always try to keep "fun" in cars away from other people. I will be the first one to admit that I like to have fun in my car on public streets. I have criteria I must meet before I do said things though. 1. No one can be in my car and it doesn't matter if the person "is ok with it" I will not let my actions hurt someone else. One of my favorite things to do is to take my car out in the snow at 4 am and just have fun. The next requirment is that if something goes wrong in my shenanigans(spelling?) that there is no way in the worst case scenerio that I am going to end up over a curb and hitting a previously unseen pedestrian. No matter how bad ass I think my mad 1337 driving skills are I garuantee there is a more 1337 road just waiting to pwn me. The next criteria is I have to recognize what I am doing is in fact illegal and that if I get caught, however safe I am being and no matter what precautions I am taking, I will accept full responsibility and be willing to accept the consequences.

To put it into perspective I have no problem with someone going out into the middle of desert and going 140+ as long as they realize that doing that is basically you accept that your risking your life and that you don't need to be doing so. It is kind of like how when I enter into a martial arts tourny I have to wave my right to life and acknowledge that it is not the responsibilty of the tournament directors for my saftey...just like your taking the responsibilty away from the car manufacturer and into your own hands by driving illegally and outside of normal conditions.

When I see someone endagering other people on the road I get pissy and generally when I see someone do something that almost caused an accident (something stupid and not just a mistake) I make them know about it with my horn and some rude remarks comming out of my mouth. Probably not the best way to handle said situation...but it does however get the point accross.

I also have a similar stance on street racing. Street racing can be done in a safe manor but the problem is that with masses stupidity usually rears its ugly head. If people go street race away from other people, and on roads where there wont be any traffic at, and there are no side streets on then I have no problem with it. That is their choice and they arent endangering the lives of other people. They HAVE TO accept it is illegal though, and I can't stand it when people complain about being caught when they know damn well it is illegal. You all my remember when I got a ticket for spectating when I god dragged along really with no choice to say "no I don't want to go" since I was stranded without my car and without money to get to my car. I still accepted that I was doing something illegal even if not by choice and paid the ticket. There were probably 100 cars watching the races that night and that is DANGEROUS and risks a lot of peoples lives. But if it were only 2 cars and a few other people watching I personally don't have a problem with it.

Once again that very same night I always let people know when I think their jack assery is going to cause problems. When I was in the parking lot with my friends there was a civic doing burnots up and down the parking lot and he almost hit 2 pedestrians in two seperate occasions and he almost hit 3 cars. As soon as he went over and parked the car I made a beline to him and went trhough his group of about 7 friends and got right in his face and told him to knock off his stupid shit before he hurt someone, damaged someones car, or got a ticket by the cops. He acted like he was some angel and as I walked away from him his big friend stepped in front of me and asked me if I had a problem to which I replied "yes, your idiotic friend almost hit my friend and one other person not to mention some cars. Tell him to knock off his shit before someone gets hurt or I assure you it will be he who gets hurt". The guys face was priceless because he got told off by a skinny white kid in front of his group of friends and knew he was in the wrong. Sometimes (often I have found) this is the only way for someone like that to get the picture. When I got back to my friends they were sure I was going to get shot/stabbed/my ass beat because apparently the "crew" had a bad rep...no wonder with their actions. But long story short...at least those guys stopped acting like jackasses for ONE night.

X Active, I'm glad you found this, and can appreciate our standpoint on the topic. Like Sperry said, we're all fortunate that the worst that happened was a trooper with a level head stopped me, and realised he made a mistake. I'm not too big on holding a grudge, especially toward someone who understands his fault, and has apologised for it, but I'm sure you could imagine that the group here likely WOULD hold a BIG grudge, say, if something worse had happened, i.e. finding an STI, LGT, and RS all mashed up into a huge mess at the bottom of that ramp...

Your apology is accepted, at least by me, and as was mentioned before, I know that we all like to have fun, and we all drive fun cars, but when you're representing the club, it's pertinant that we all "keep our shirts tucked in!"
