Meets? We have meets?
Default Sac People help me out.

I'm selling my rims to a guy from Oakland. We agreed to meet halfway somewhere in Sac, problem is neither he or I know Sac real well. Can anyone suggest a good meeting place, preferably close to a freeway exit? Then we can just Mapquest it or whatever so we both end up in the same place. Thanks.

I hear truck stops are the preffered location to meet random dudes from San Fransisco...

...oh wait, you said Oakland.

centerfolds

If you want an easy location to meet stay out of downtown. I'd recommend something in roseville. It's easy to get off and on the ramps there.

Or a little closer to Sacramento is Scandia miniature golf on Madison and I-80 (north side of the freeway). It's really easy to find, because you can see it from the freeway.
here's the address Scandia Family Fun Ctr
Address: 5070 Hillsdale Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95842

Meet at the In N Out off Eureka Rd in Roseville.

For you, come W on 80. Exit Eureka Rd., follow the ramp up and back over the freeway. Left at the first stop light, in n out on the left.

For him, come E on 80. Exit Eureka Rd., go straight across the intersection, in n out on the left.

Weird.

So In-n-Out seems to be easy to find. Thanks everyone, I'll see if that's cool with him.

Eh, why didn't anybody suggest the Natomas meet? It's a little more than halfway for you, but at least it adds something to the trip.

The only thing I'd suggest is making sure to *avoid* the Natomas meet. Who wants to hang out with those a-holes and compare BOVs?

(SRIC is dead to me.)

The people one would wish to avoid on the forum (LookingForPower, BlackVenom96, etc.) are not really part of the core meet group. Matt, Aaron, Mike, Dan, and the other "core" members that go back to the beginnings of the SRIC meet, along with newcomers like newyorkreload, Rivers, Deede, and others, who are perfectly normal and well-adjusted subaru enthusiasts are worth meeting and hanging out with. (My apologies to other SRIC members who deserved mention as well.) The fact that a few jackasses have found their way to the forum and made it a genreally unworthwhile experience for the timebeing does not change the fact that, by and large, SRIC is full of good people worth knowing, just like here at SECCS. Besides, shouldn't a person see for themselves what the Sacramento group is like before dismissing them all as drama-chasing e-thugs?

Actually, I think I've been to just about as many Sac meets as SECCS meets in the last few months. My point was more just to bitch about the current SRIC drama than to imply the meets suck.

Though if I went and any of those tools you mentioned were there, I'd leave, and probably not quietly. I have a really short fuse these days for those tactless ass-clowns who should go back to high school and learn some manners... wait, they're still in high school...

LookingForAttention showed up a few weeks ago, his e-balls are a lot bigger and more existent than his live in person danglies are.

The felch monkeys are a lot easier to ignore in person than they are online, I think they have heard about Aaron's knife collection and amazingly short temper...

The fact that in real life, we're a bunch of big white guys doesn't hurt either. Matt's spikes make a handy weapon in a pinch

Thanks for the advice guys. However my dad had a heart attack today so I didn't go anywhere. They just kicked us out of the hospital for a while, he's on life support for now, but fairly stable. I'm headed back now, talk to you later.
