Broccoli, asparagus, and artichokes are about the only things I like mayo on.

Well, really you dip them in it, not put it on...

But anyway.. must be some east coast fatback consuming trend.

Not that I've had it since then (srsly).

His mom's korean, so I think we're obligated to start with kimchi.

I like this on my broccoli:

Right on. Kimchi is great.

Coworkers: "WTF are you eating? It stinks."

"Whatever. You just don't know."

I have to say my favorite are probably the daikon, the sweetish cabbage, cucumber.. I'm down with the classic kimchi, but those three I'm most prone to.

Banchan's the best part of the meal.

I spent a year in Korea. Kimchee is definitely an acquired taste, but I like it

Also, cucumber kimchee ftw.

I never acquired it during the three years I was there, nor in the six years since. I dig kimchi stew with rice, though. Spam soaks up the soup really well. Tasty.

My fav hands down is ddukbokgi (the chewy rice cakes in spicy sauce), especially with ramen noodles and spam added. My wife also makes a killer spicy chicken stew with carrots, potatos, and ramen noodles.

And boy do I hate trying to romanize korean words. It just doesn't work.

It's 1:30am and now I'm hungry. Crap.

ddukbokgi (I've always seen it romanized tutkboki, but been told to pronounce the t's like d's) is one of my favorite korean dishes. I used to eat it all the time in college. Between that an dol sot bee bim bap.

On the topic of Korean...anybody know of a place I can get some steamed Yaki Man Do? Fried tastes great but I should stick with steamed. Maby I'll just go hop on a plane. O, to back on the streets of Osan after hours.

There's a korean market on Rock in Sparks. . . I take the Oddie exit off of 395 and head east towards Rock, then turn right on Rock. It's on the left just after the road curves right.

They sell frozen mandu that you could cook up.

I love spam actually.

When we fish in Alaska we have these littel snaks that are white rice with a piece of spam wrapped in seeweed like a sushi roll and it is actually one of my favorite snacks.
