So, where's he going? I'd like to see him back at Renault... and so would Flav I bet... but I'm not so sure anymore that's what'll happen.

Great silly season, or greatest silly season?

http://www.crash.net/motorsport/f1/n...t_mclaren.html

Patrick Head of Williams makes some off-hand quip that McLaren should hire Michael Schumacher. Suddenly, its become a full blown rumor

Except, in F1 everyone cheats and spies as much as they think they can w/o getting caught. So really, Constructors' champ goes to Honda... as they're the only team that's obviously not spying.

Yeah, but they are reverse spying by illegally giving info to Super Aguri.

So I'd really like to pay out to the winners of the fantasy F1 season... I need a paypal address for motoring and Olivier... can anyone provide me with 'em?

Matt, I think I have Carrie's email for her paypal, can you PM me just to make sure?

Mike, do you have a way to get money to Olivier via Milan or something?

Renault off the hook. Guilty but no penalty.

Renault is also looking at suing McLaren for "leaking" false accusations.

Explanation from the FIA on the verdict.

http://www.crash.net/motorsport/f1/n...reasoning.html

Quote:
the meeting of the WMSC found that three of the four drawings viewed by Renault engineers – including the fuel system and gear layout of the McLaren car - were of no use to the team, with the only one used by Renault relating to the so-called 'J-damper' in use by the Mercedes-powered squad.

However, 'fundamental misunderstandings' on the part of Renault into the workings of the system led the FIA to deem that an effect on the championship couldn't be established.
In other words "Your engineers suck so bad they can't even get stolen documents right"
