Fantasy F1 - 2009 Edition! - Subaru Enthusiasts Car Club of the Sierras

Well, the FIA still hasn't told us the team/drivers lineups for 2009, but I'm pushing forward with setting up the FF1 site for '09 anyway.

I've got no participants, and I'm still listing the '08 schedule and drivers. But I think I can get the 2009 schedule up there w/o having to make any major changes, and use the drivers as best we know until we find out what's happening with Honda and/or third drivers.

Does anyone want to make some changes to the fantasy rules for the upcoming season? I don't want to do anything drastic because I don't have time to re-code the scoring engine. But I was thinking of bumping to 10 or 12 picks per driver for the season so we don't run out of big-name drivers so quickly.

Thoughts?

Also, if you're interested in participating this season, post up in here. I'll bump this thread when I open registration for the season!

I'm in for 09. I don't think any mods are neccessary, perhaps increasing driver picks to 12 would create some more contenders. Whatever the group wants to do is cool. Thanks for putting this together Scott.

I think 12 picks might be a little much for a 17 round season... you could pick MAS RAI HAM ALO together in all but 5 rounds for example.

I'm leaning towards 10 right now. With 4 "top" drivers, that's potentially an extra 80 points out there for picking race wins without taking away the strategy of having to choose when to use the big name drivers.

I've updated the FF1 website with the 2009 schedule. I do not have all the teams/drivers updated... I've been waiting for Honda info, but since the first race is in just a few weeks, I'm opening up registration.

I'll start updating the drivers/teams as soon as I can! So don't freak out over the '08 season data that's still in there.

Yep... that's $20 for the entry fee, plus the 2.99% we have to pay twice for PayPal transfer fees.
