If you can't tell, that would be the head of a bolt that I just sheared off while trying to retighten my AC belt... Luckily it was just the AC belt though, so I can just remove the belt and still drive the car. Feel free to discuss my idiocy

I have only met you once so I don't have much to say other than maybe think about picking up a torque wrench. I would suggest getting one that is extremely easy to use

I would suggest not touching tools at all at this point. Might be safer.

I dunno about all that. I needed a breaker bar to get it off, so I used one to put it on. Apparently, tripling the length of the lever triples the amount of torque on the bolt. Maybe everyone is being a little extreme, cuz I'm sure I'm not the only one to make a mistake on this board at least I'm learning from them, right?

And yes, I do need a torque wrench lol

The internet never lets a mistake go unchecked. I already forgave you though.

Yep - just a little ribbing. You use breaker bars when there are no other options to remove something, because duty cycles or initial torque mean you need something big. Never, ever reapply something with a breaker bar - most bolts that aren't internal to the motor or strut knuckles on a Subaru are going to be 30 ft-lbs or less (lots are 10-15) and you shouldn't be putting them on with anything bigger than a standard 3/8" ratchet.

Don't touch new brake rotors, even after only a 5 minute drive, no matter how smooth they may look.
