I'm a fan of the KWs and the Tein Flex's. But both of those are probaby a little overkill for a street only driven car.

I would lean RCE's version of the KWs if he wants to go that far, but as Scott said, both those and the Flex's are going to have fairly high spring rates for the street.(6K,8k,10K or whatever) I have no personal experience with them, but TEIN's Street series with the 5K springs are probably a better choice. As the height adjustment is done by lowering the perch, not the strut, lowering is limited to: Basic: (Front: -83~-50mm; Rear: -44~-21mm) Recommended: (Front: -63mm; Rear: -29mm) SS, SS-P (Front: -80~-32mm; Rear: -44~-24mm) Recommended: (Front: -66mm; Rear: -33mm) There are lots of other cheap coils out there, but build quality and performance are all over the place...

For my Honda KW V3 are really popular too. Which KW for the 04 STI V1, V2, V3? Where did your guy buy it. He like the Tein which he used in Thailand. How much can he lower it and still with in stock spec alignment? (not too much camber). |
