Whats up people, i've watched a couple of autoX races before and have always wanted to give it a try, but i had a couple of questions first. i got the membership question off of the reno scca web site and was wundering where i need to send it, or drop it off? I understand there is a test and tune this weekend (the 17, and 1

at stead and was wundering if there was any entry fees besides the scca membership fee? also if i was to run what class would i be in if i run my 02 WRX? Thanks

Hello and welcome.

As far as your membership goes, you are probably best to just sign up at the event on saturday, and register as an SCCA member then. I would think. You don't have to be a member to participate, but it makes it cheaper in the long run.

There is an event fee aside from your SCCA membership fee, it is $20 with membership and $30 without.

If your WRX is still stock, then you'll race in Street-tire D Stock (NDS) That is a good place to start to learn your car. If you want to move up and modify your car at all, STX is the next class. But you really won;t need to worry about the class at all for the test and tune, it's more of a practice day.

Welcome to the club, we look forward to meeting you next week. We also have Thur. night meets, check stickied post in the Subaru Chat forum.

For the Sat. Apr. 17th test & tune: the morning is for drivers school (if you want to be an instructor you can get a little time for test & tune in the morning); the afternoon will be continuation of drivers school along with test & tune. So if you're coming for test & tune only, be out there by 11:30 to register & get your car tech'd.

is it at that bully's every thursday? and how long generally do u guys stay there? I dont get off work till like 7pm and I work in carson.. so its gonna be like 730ish b4 i even be able to make one of the meets...

Yep. Same Bully's every thursday.

Last meet some of us were there till 9ish. Most times people stay till 8:30...9ish.

Believe me, i don't think #2 in STX is going to be very easy to get. It should be incredibly competitive this year with Scott, Dean, Tyson and Theo running for points, it will be great to watch.

I'm sure most everyone is running both days. I know Scott, Tyson and I are in for both.

Theo will be running the Karman Ghia if he gets the motor back in and the carbs tuned up. I took thursday and friday off to finish it.
