I've never owned an 8 track in my life.
I did however just finally toss all my cassettes just last Monday. You missed out on great albums like Sports by Huey Lewis and the News, Alan Parson's Project: Eye in the Sky, and a bunch of rap singles from before Gansta Rap took over in '92.

The first time I joined Columbia House in '78 I got a dozen 8-tracks for a penny - woohoo. Probably had 20 total eventually, but I gave them to my brother who had them until about 1998 when they probably finally got thrown away.
