Stupid Corvette owners and their stupid ideas about how to design a stupid course with a stupid 1,000 foot straightaway. I drove REALLY well today compared to yesterday and finished much lower in PAX. I even got beat by the NSM Mustangs that couldn't touch me on the "real" course yesterday and last week, when I wasn't driving as well. Stupid cars with more stupid horsepower...

That straight before the big sweeper at the end did scare me a bit. Because I hardly drive my brother car. The STI is pretty fast compare to my car (4000 Lbs with only 160 HP). That long straight way almost make me hit the plane. I wonder what was the pilot thinking when he saw me coming at him on my 5th run.  .

Yeah, I spun at about 90 mph at that corner.

Then the saftey steward came over to "chat" with me and told me that I "have to slow down because [I'm] coming dangerously close to the runway". Yeah, like that's my fault there's an illegally fast (according to our own regulations) straight with no braking zone that close to the runway. Like I'm going to slow down... right, cuz that doesn't defeat the purpose of AutoX.

Not that it wasn't fun to slide 100 feet sideways towards an active runway! I really felt sorry for the worker station that was down there... anyone could have lost it in the other direction (like Dean did) and headed straight for them!

Deal, did somebody say Deal? Oh, Dean, yeah that's me.

My first slide was truly impressive from the driver's seat, I can only imagine what it looked like from the corner station... A WRX in arms fully crossed opposite lock with power on to begin with sliding at what felt like a fairly contant 90 degrees to the direction of travel at about 75MPH...

I wish I had my PSI3 installed doing data logging during this event. It would be some very sobering data to bring to the next SCCA meeting.

Did anybody who was a passenger ever look at the speedo near the end of the straight...

I will get my revenge. Who was helping me with Hawtorne course design? Wanna bet we can make the slowest but still fun and challenging Hawthorne course ever?

How about this design? This is Gymkhana in Thailand (auto-x Japanese style). no chalk line. Let see how corvette manage to run that. Most of the people DNF because of run off course.

Thats a horrible course...It's really no fun when you need a navigator to run it safely. BTW, are you the one who borrowed the Reno SCCA old timing system and took it to Thailand?
