Default Dynamat

Does anybody have any suggestions where a good place in Carson city / Reno is that sells Dynamat, or other sound damping material? I want to do my trunk and floors.

Anywhere you buy it around here is going to be really expensive. If you want Dynamat brand, eBay is the best place to get it. If you want a very similar product to Dynamat Extreme at a much better price, look at the eDead at edesignaudio.com or Raamat at raamaudio.com. Thr Raamat is a better product than the regular eDead, but at a bit more cost. Rick is an extremely helpful person and will answer any questions about car audio in general you may have. Go to nasioc.com and search the forum for Raamat and you will a ton of results.

If you think there's even the tiniest remote chance that you'll ever want to strip the sound insulation out of your car for weight savings, then don't apply any Dynamat (or equivalent). It's a living nightmare to get off once you've put it on.

Hahaha, I remember those pictures...damn what a mess.

I would hate to have Dynomat in my STi, I like the road and engine noise..but that's jsut me.

Best Buy. I used it to cover my fuel pump area so I wouldn't hear the 'whinning' sound. How much do you want? I got mine fore free because it was just left over, so it wont hurt to ask if they have any left over either.

*edit*

It's really heavy though... so doing that to your car would weight it down a bunch.

Maybe I'll wait before using it. When I first got the car, I was planning on installing the dynamat to quiet it down a bit, then I got used to it. I just added a Cobb turboback system, I love the exhaust note, but its a little louder than stock. I think I'll just crank up the stereo for now.

Last time I checked at best buy, one pack (which covers about two doors) cost about $80..
