IIRC, you can't Jon. You haven't been in the SCCA (are you even a member?) long enough/to enough events.

Works for me. I should have most of my pre-season parts installed by then and ready for tech.

EDIT: Except I might not have a Solo Rules book for 2007 just yet. Will he have any available? Or is there a way to get them before hand? Hopefully the general members meeting this Wednesday will have some.

I'm interested, however I am thinking that my broken windshield is gonna kill me. I am gonna get it replaced before the season starts, just don't have the money for it yet.

I'm good with the date. Guess I should look into a rule book also.

As long as it doesn't touch more than one edge of the glass. THe FX had a crack in the windsheild the went from the edge of the driver side to 1 inch away from the passenger side, and nobody said a word.

And technically it shouldn't be in your line of sight.

You can get your Tech done later, no worries. These dates are just to make the line shorter on April 14th and 15th.

Yes, the rulebook questions should be answered at the meeting this week. They were mentioned last month, and ordered I believe...

Hopefully we'll have enough of a turnout on the 22nd for it to be worth doing. I know some people are planning on going to C&C due to time/preparation restraints. Just don't want Wes to waste his time coming up to only see like 3 of us...

Is membership a requirement for ann. tech? I haven't been able to foot the membership fee yet.

Membership, and completing more than 50% of last season's events.

Do I have to have the Light Stars on the wagon for inspection or can I just put them in the back?

We talked about this at the meeting last week after you left, and were still kinda undecided... Technically, you're SUPPOSED to have the car setup exactly as you plan on racing it, but then there was the question of people on race tires, who wouldn't want to drive across town on non-street-legal tires.

Basically, I'd say unless it's a safety thing, bring the car prepped as you plan on racing it.

The spirit of the rules is to have the competition tires on, but I think the letter of the rules says it says as long as you have tires that you could compete on, that's good enough.

EDIT: what cory said.

I'd bring your race rubber in the back too, just for the hell of it.

Also, bring your helmet, so it can get certified too.

The trick to having the car "prepared" is so we can check the wheels for cracks, etc... So bringing your race wheels with you would be pertinant.

Do we have an answer on the rule book requirement answered yet? I'll probably buy one anyway, but thought I'd check since I missed the meeting.

Rule books aren't going to be required. National dropped the reference to 'em in their rules, we're doing the same in our supps.

I'm going to annual tech on my street tires, I'm not driving on my hoosiers to C&C. I have brand new wheels out of the box, so tech will have to take my word for it.

Technically, the car CAN be teched on any set of wheels and tires, it's the driver's responsibility to ensure interchangable parts/wear items like wheels, tires, brake pads, are maintained throughout the season, just my .03

Yehaa, I just put my RE 070's back on, I'm ready. I just hope I can get around the whole new windshield thing.

You've still got a few days, and most insurance will repair glass for free. It could be done by lunch today if you call Fast Glass or someone.
