OK, back on topic...

I have some John Valby holiday "music" that is completely inapproriate that might cheer folks up...

I am kind of bumming thi syear as well. My Mom and Step father are on a cruise, the snow sucks, and I just can't get motivated to fight the traffic/airports to go anywhere.

Anybody interested in a Saturday movie or two, and maybe a Casino Buffet dinner?

So I just got a phone call from my mom at USC medical Center in LA, My grandma was transfered there yesterday from Las vegas to see cancer specialists. Turns out there is nothing more that can be done, what started as Pancreotic (sp) cancer has spread to her intestines, stomach and ovaries...so she is beyond help now.

The doctors say that they will try to make her comfortable for her return trip to Las vegas, but other than that, there is nothing more to be done.

My mom is not doing so well, we though her cancer was in remission...but I guess not.

uhhgg.

Matt, I'm sorry to hear that, please let us know if there is anything we can do. Best wishes to you and your family.

To ad more "joy" to the season, one of my coworkers fainted at a gas station over the weekend, banged her head real bad when she fell and is in a coma after having had brain surgery. I feel real bad for her family as well. What a bummer way to spend the holidays.

Damn...That sucks to hear Dean, what are the odds of that?Unbelievable...

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty close with my grandma, I just visited her when I was in Las Vegas two weeks ago, and I though she was doing so much better. I'm really bummed about the developments. I knew this was coming, just not so soon.. All I can hope for now is that she doesn't suffer, but I can't see her making it much longer than a couple of weeks.

Really, I'm okay, It's something you have to deal with..But thank you guys for the kind words...

So sorry to hear your news Matt. You and your family are in my prayers.

It was good you saw her recently. Are you going to go back down to LV to see her again soon?

Sorry to hear this Matt. Losing grandparents is a real bummer. I wish my daughter could have met them.

Alright, some new ones in there, thanks.

Hey Dean, what about all those Bob Rivers songs, those are pretty good as well. I still want to know the lyrics to 'Police stopped my car' - and, what was the original title to that one, "I Am Santa Claus"? Cracks me up!
