I have an after market BOV & plug you can try.

i can only think about when my dumbass thought it would be cool to get a vent to atmo bov when i had my first 02 WRX, every dam time i would let off and at idle the shit would stumble endlessly.

then when i got the black one and front mounted it i had a tial bov. that POS had like the losest spring known to man. everytime it got cold here or i went down the hill to sac or the bay it REFUSED to idle. period. did the EXACT same thing daves cars been doing.

i cant believe i didnt see the parallel when he was in my garage. i must have fucked with that tial BOV for a week straight. i feel stupid.

Everyone is being very helpful, thank you. I tried to attach a image of enginuity fuel logs at idle. Its even more lean now, but fine while driving.

Your AF Correction is max'ed at +25, which is the limit. The engine is so lean(>25%) that the ECU can no longer compensate, so your AFR is higher than the 14.7:1 it should be. Gotta be a significant leak after the MAF, and since/if it is at idle only then Phil may be right.

To make sure it is at idle only - you may want to log and graph the AF corrections while cruising around.

So the new BPV did not solve my idle problem. I did some logging yesterday. A/F ratio's are perfectly normal when crusing, at WOT the are at 11:1. Only at idle the fuel trim goes to +25 and A/F is at 17 to 18:1. This morning the car stalled on the first start.

I decided to take all the hoses off last night, in search of a tear (Inlet hoses suck). Long story short, I didn't find a thing. All the vacuum hoses look good as well. What could this be? a tune issue? I don't want to take it to subaru and have them steel my money.

could the fuel pump be underpowered at idle. Perhaps a wiring issue?
(I dont know if thats possible or not but I am just throwing out ideas)

I put in some gas treatment stuff yesterday, I will get fuel injector cleaner on my next fuel up. I don't think the fuel pump would be bad. C and C tested the fuel pressure.

I reflashed to stock plus other maps as well, with no luck. I just talked to Dave at C and C. He said they tested fuel pressure between the engine and the fuel filter, everything was good.

Does anyone have streettunner? or does any no how to tune with enginuity? Dave was suggesting that the idle tables may need to be adjusted, since it runs fine everywhere else. At this point I will pay someone to try!

Ed will be here next weekend or you might consider DB Tuned in Roseville. Paul tunes and troubleshoots.

I fool around with enginuity a lot. Don't know what idle tables he's talking about. There are tricks to get the idle to smooth out with bigger injectors, but that is just in the MAF table. You can also change idle speed too. If you have stock injectors and a stock MAF table (after reflashing back to stock maps), and your trims are max'ed at 25, then you have a problem that needs to be fixed.

You should log fuel corrections while cruising around. I bet they are high but not quite 25.

While cruising, fuel correction factors are around 0. I will double check later.

The more you write, the more it has just got to be unmettered air after the MAF. Is the MAF itself leaking or backwards??

Actual correction = Learned + immediate correction.

Logging in Enginuity is just like dash boarding except it writes the data to a file. I can't figure out how to start logging without using the enable defrost switch button though because I haven't tried.
