I just bought some Whiteline rear-end links. How did yours break? And whats the difference between the endlinks and Whiteline Heavyduty rear-sway bar mounts? I noticed you have that also. What do they really help?
I paid 56.00$ shipped for them. I guess not bad. After this, I am going all Cusco.

Well I have already bought these endlinks. So I have front and rear Whiteline endlinks. I am just curious what the Heavy duty mounts for the rear-sway are.
I am getting cusco fron and rear-strur towers, and front and rear sway bars.

I have the HD mounts on my car. They replace the two attachment points between the bar and the body, up near the gas tank. They're much larger, and have polyurethane bushings. You don't need them unless you're going to a stiffer bar since all they're for is not breaking under higher loads. If you have a stock bar you're fine. Besides the polyurethane makes the ride a bit louder.
My endlink broke like this: ![]() It happened on a cold day a while after I got them. I suppose they were brittle from the low temp and stressed from the 24mm bar setting I was running earlier. They were designed for a lesser bar. If you put them on a stock bar (or a bar <= 22mm which is what they were designed for), you'll prolly be fine. Perrin solid endlinks are good, as are the Kartboys (but they have some minor fitment isues).

Mine dont they fit fine no problems at all I love them. They are made to work on any setting the perrin rear swaybar has and not break.

The Cusco rear-sway I was looking at just says adjustable. does that mean 22mm-24mm?
I am actually going with Cobb Tuning's Stage 1 suspension setup. All their pieces (Rear adjustable sway bar, fron sway bar, and rear strut tower) all come from Cusco. So I am just getting a package deal on cusco stuff.

Okay. cobb said there rear-sway is 22-24mm adjustable. So will the whiteline endlinks I just bought be okay with it? And should I get the heavy-dute rearsway mounts?

I got my rear-end links in the mail today, along with my STi radiator cap
![]() I will wait to order the HD sway bar mounts until I order my rear-sway bar.

You'll prolly be cool with the Whiteline endlinks. After I broke mine, Whiteline offered to send me a free replacement, and told me they were working on increasing the strength of the materials they use on 'em. I told them thanks, but I need 'em ASAP and couldn't wait for them to ship from Australia, so I just ordered from KartBoy w/ overnight shipping.
Hopefully, they've upped the strength of their endlinks since then... after all it was at least a year ago. Another thing to think about: if something's gonna break, it should be the cheapest part of the suspension. I'd hate to bend a swaybar or control arm after hitting a curb 'cause the endlink was so g'damn beefy. In fact, a lot of the WRX rally teams use the *stock* plastic/rubber endlinks so they *will* break before the more expensive stuff. You can easily swap a tanked endlink at a service station in your 20 minutes, whereas replacing a swaybar is much harder, and replacing a control arm (while not ruining the alignment) is damn near impossible. Besides, if a rear endlink goes, you car won't spin, it'll just be come very plow-happy, so it's not too unsafe. And Whiteline's customer service is AMAZING... the president regularly posts on NASIOC, and I guarentee they'll send you a new set, all you gotta do is post a picture of your broken link and wait for the Australian mail service. ![]()

Dang dude.... your water is like *totally* gonna work better with that STi cap!
![]() I dig the grill, I've been planning on getting one once I'm done w/ suspension and engine mods... which will be never... ![]() I'm thinking: STi Grill, perhaps the hood scoop (to help out the waterspray), and psinted side skirts. Keep it JDM STi! But then I'm gonna need to find some gold 17" STi rims... grrr..
