Default pyramid fatality

There was a girl in my calc. class today that was just totally out of it, crying her eyes out because her best friend was in a wreck on pyramid today. It's sad to hear. I am guessing it was a UNR student. Did anyone else hear about it or get stuck in the insane traffic?

I heard about it on the news early this morning, They didn't have any details to release yet, but I imagine it was pretty bad given the traffic problems it generated...Very sad indeed.

rgj.com says it was 2 girls, sisters, in high school. The article goes on to say neither girl was wearing a seat belt. Devastating.

here's a quote from the paper today....

"This week Spanish Springs High School Junior Cassandra Welch, 16, would have learned if she made the varsity girls’ basketball team to play with her sister, Jessica, 17, a senior and team captain"...
