Staying Put Tonight
<bored rant>
Any one else staying home tonight? I had to shovel the damn driveway. The friend with the blower let someone else borrow it and it hasn't made it's way home yet. So, two hours of sweat and it's done. For tonight, I have adopted the "St. Nick" plan. I have a case of fine German beer and other assorted spirits and I don't plan on going anywhere. The residential streets here in Double Diamond are a friggen mess. Like the rest of your areas, we have had ZERO plowing. The stuff is stacking up along with all the crap that is falling off cars and people throwing snow into the street from their driveways. The wrx "could" make it through this slop if necessary but I have decided to leave it in the garage and drive the van when I need to go anywere. The van's suspension is much more forgiving and it is still fun in the ice with all wheel drive and blizzaks. </bored rant> |

Switch Shaun of the Dead with Back to the Future and add working on a Tyrrell P34 1977 Monaco GP model and thats whats happening here.
I tried driving places during the day, and it was a mess (but a lot of fun). Decided to stay put tonight.

I had a long night last night. Sleding behind cars with a tow strap, WRX snow rally (and getting stuck, way to go Pete), and all sorts of other snow madness. Even though I'm 20, I felt like I was 10 again last night.

It was nice to have a warm fire, food & drink, movies, and watch the snow come down.
It was not nice to wake up this morning at 7, wind howling, something pelting my window. And it was not nice shoveling the snow-ice or the berm that someone left at the end of my little driveway. |
