Default I was wondering why...

Northern Nevada doesn't have any rally-type races (sprints, circuit, rally cross, or even road rally)? One would think that this area would be great for it.

I'm just curious. Does anyone have any ideas?

Enter your Subie in the VORRA races......

Good question --- we have basically unlimited cool places to off-road rallye. Heck, there are roads EVERYWHERE in Nevada.

Actually, most the land around here is *very* rocky.... any rally out here would be like an Acropolis rally or somthing that breaks a lot of cars. But that's not a big deal for desert trucks and the like... and it's actually good for the rock-crawling Jeep guys.

There was an SCCA-sanctioned rally in April 2003 (I think) out by Fernley. Subiegal competed in it, and she said it was really rough on her car -- many broken parts. They may have caught fire at one point too.
