quickie review of what an equal length header will do with a divorced downpipe.
first its wayyyyy more throaty, my invida would pass for an espelir now. its TONS louder, sadly. I would say as of now its sounds perfect, to me. yeah it could loose some db, but other than that im pleased as punch. fast fast fast., faster off the line, faster through the mid, faster on top. no noticable loss in spool. i think, due to the stock uppipe and coated design.

yeah im rocking AP right now, it absorbed it like nothing.
I picked up an old GTSpec Gen 1 header. its technically version 1 b as version 1a had thinner flanges and warped alot. But i really wanted to keep my factory uppipe, cause it is cast and will retain more heat. It was on Mike's car from worxtuning, he had it on a day, loved it, took it off to get it coated, and never put it back on. so i snagged it off him for nothin. The BIGGEST problem was this. During the coating process, he had them weld in a bung for egt. I thought this would be great! Sadly he didnt include a plug for it. SO i spent about 1 hour online soaking up every size it "could" be. then i drove around town for 5 hours looking for a plug that doesnt exist. Then my ride had to bail on me, and as much fun as cruzing around town with a header strapped to my back on my motorcycle would be. I decided to pass. So i waited another hour for another ride. while waiting i tried every single bolt off the ducati im building, and every single spare bolt from my R1. To no avail. Finally another ride gets here, i go to lowes buy a bolt that i have a tap and die for. Go to my work where my tap and die set is, and i show that header who was boss. then i shorten the dam bolt so its flush in the header. and viola. Operation butt-plug is a GO!
