Default Electric Evo prototype

Mitsubishi is building an electric Evo for a Japanese rally that only allows electric cars. I wonder when/if high performance electric cars will start making it to showrooms.

As soon as they're equipped with similarly high-performance batteries that you can drive for 3-400 hundred miles on without having to recharge, all for a price equivalent to gasoline powered cars.

the good thing with electric motors is that you would have INSTANT power. Right, just like an RC Car?

Yes, electric motors can generate large amounts of starting torque at 0 RPM, unlike combustion engines which have to be spun up.
