Default 04 wrx struts on a 94 impreza L? Will they work?

Well can i make these two work without to much modding?

04wrx struts and springs onto a 94 L?

I know the rear hats are different GC-GD, but you can just swap them.

Rears won't work because of the rear tophats, which are specific to the springs. You could use the struts themselves with GC/GM springs and tophats. If it was coilovers you could just get tophats, because the small diameter springs would work with any pillowball mount. It's only OE-style springs that won't swap. :-\

Also, the Bugeye GD springs will work with GC/GM tophats. But in '04 they switched to the weird D-shaped upper spring perch which isn't compatible with previous years.

Thanks for the help guys. Pulled the fronts and the fit right up. havent droped the car back down to test ride height, but when i go to do rears tomorrow where are the rear top hat bolts. Trunk? or rear seat? Or somewhere else?

If it's like the newer models they are behind the rear seat back, which needs to be removed for access.
