HID (BUSTED)
So after 6 months of the hid conversion, I got pulled over. The only thing that the hw patrolman said is that blue lights aren't legal. I had 6700K lights (they were intense blue). So Im thinking either put those in the fog lights (they are both h1) and use them strictly for offroad or get some 4600 or even 4300k bulbs. Opinions?

Man, I've seen you driving and I have to say thank God, those lights are annoying.

Wow that was you I saw?! Well I will say that you certainly can't be missed while driving. Do you think you could just use the same bulbs or lights or whatever as the STis so you are more stock looking?

I think Ill put them in the fog lights and use them when im the only one on the road (plus the fog lights have a lens and are closer and more directed to the ground). I originally got them because the sylvania silverstars burned out semi-annually and at $20 a piece that gets quite annoying. My appologies to all drivers for the annoyance of my headlights, I didn't expect them to be that harsh. I did like how the 6700k color lit up the road lines and road signs like they were under a black light though, however with the abscense of a filter and focus (that the sti's have) the beam covered 4 lanes wide. I am now running silverstars again, but this time the drl is disabled and I soldered the ground wire to the back of the bulb (As I think this is the cause for the frequent bulb failure).

Are your projectors RHD? If so, that's the problem, not the HID bulbs.

The problem is that they are stock headlight housings with retrofit hid system.
