Met a cool guy named Kerry Morse at my buddy's tattoo shop last night! Turns out, he works for Primedia, as a photographer and motorsports magazine editor! He was a really cool guy! He even went to his car for his camera and took a pic of my Prodrive wing to send to a friend of his, just because he'd never seen anyone driving around on the street with one!

Anyway, we BS'd for a while about cars/racing while Joe tattooed his wife/GF/whatever she was. He gave me his card, and sent me to a site that he and his friends put together, just for the fun of it, with tons of pics and articles they put together themselves, all about racing! Seeing that they are all photo journalists or magazine editors, they've got some AWESOME stuff together on there, what with thier ability to venture into the parts of the racing world most of us don't see...

Oh, on the site, the "not that it's any of my business..." column is written by Kerry himself, IIRC. I was really pretty blown away, he was an awesome guy, and had SO MANY great stories about ALMS and such!

That's awesome! Does he work for a specific Primedia-owned magazine?

I’m going to start reading through that site tomorrow.

Being an Automotive Journalist has been my dream job for quite some time. In my senior year of high school I made my own magazine for my senior project. I had articles about my first auto-x experience, I went to HIN, Gill's supercharged M3 and I even got Go Fast Bits to let me "test" their then-new hybrid BOV on my Talon and I turned it in to a tech article. I had such a great time making that magazine! Scott Oldham (former SCC editor) was my mentor via phone.

I've been browsing all morning, and the Top Shot photo galleries are incredible!

I was wearing my club sweatshirt last night, and he asked about it. Told me to send him an e-mail with the URL so he can check it out.

Actually, his dad owns the shop! It's Body Graphix on Wells, up the hill from Juicy's Burgers. Jesse is my buddy there, I've known him for EVER! Just go in or give a call, (322-8623) and ask for Jesse, tell him Cory sent you! He'll take good care of you!
