Default Recap of Big Time attack at Buttonwillow.

Some great looking race cars, and incredible performance from the Subaru contingent. Check out either thread for the highlights, there are also some great pictures on the carster link

Looks like a great event, and I'm surprised to see that there are a few cars still running without cages. I must just be a wuss wanting a cage for time trials.

I like the wheels on that black evo. Didn't look like attendance was very overwhelming.

I think it's good to be seeing this kind of stuff though. Hopefully it signals to the big tracks that this is something we would like to see more of. Maybe it could even evolve into some kind of circuit raciong series. Even though Time Attack is so awesome sounding it seems pretty boring to watch?

I doubt the fanbase is big enough right now for any kind of push in the industry but every little bit helps. If the Japan manufactures get enough support over here maybe they will be able to serve the parts community better. Which would be nice when you want to buy that JDM time attack shifter bushing you always wanted.

Yeah, as much as NASA, SCCA and varaious magazines are trying to hype it as the next big thing, I don't think standalone Time Attack will ever appeal to spectators like wheel-to-wheel racing . It seems as though Time Attack is a great platform for tuners and mfgs to showcase their products.

As long as they pair the events with other motorsports, they'll be okay.
